The Fight Is Fixed
May 13th, 2026
Week 2
This week in our Devotions with Pastor Kathryn series, we’re reminded of a powerful truth:
We are called to fight—but the outcome has already been decided.
Scripture tells us:
“Fight the good fight of the faith.” — 1 Timothy 6:12
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
We are not called to a passive life. There is a fight to engage in, a race to run, and a purpose to live out.
But here’s the deeper truth:
The fight is fixed.
Not in the sense of manipulation—but in the sense of certainty. The outcome has already been secured through Jesus.
“It is finished.” — John 19:30
We are not fighting for victory.
We are fighting from victory.
That changes everything.
Life still requires effort. Faith still requires endurance. But we are no longer carrying the weight of the outcome.
The race has already been won—yet we are still called to run it.
Not to determine the result, but to live with faithfulness, purpose, and transformation.
So the question is not:
“Will we win?”
That has already been answered.
The question is:
- What is your fight?
- What is your race?
- Where has God placed you?
Your responsibility is not the final result—it is faithfulness in the present.
Closing Thought:
Step into the fight—but don’t carry the outcome.
