Debra Kriner, Board Chair
Debra Kriner became a part of Findlay Ohio in 2009 when she accepted the position of Director of Nursing at Birchaven Village. Debra has been a registered nurse for thirty-four years. During this time, she has primarily served the elderly in nursing homes. She has a desire to help those that look to others for assistance. Debra has two adult children, one of which resides in Findlay and the other in Atlanta, Georgia. She also has four teenage grandsons. Debbie enjoys spending her time traveling and working in her garden during the summer months. She also enjoys kayaking and bicycling. She has a strong Christian faith and believes in serving those in need.

Dave Beach, Vice Chair
I am a Findlay, Ohio Native, a Saint Michael’s Catholic Church parishioner. A 1975 Findlay High School graduate, 1977 Owens Technical College graduate. Commenced my professional career with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office July 1977. Had the great fortune to wed Barbara (Bobbi) in 1980, we have three adult children Megan, Dan, and Laura with 8 wonderful grandchildren to date, whom we enjoy watching in their activities. During my 23-year tenure with the Sheriff’s Office served as a communications officer, road patrol deputy, K-9 handler, Sgt of the Transport Warrant unit, road patrol Sgt and Sgt of the ERT team. I joined the Findlay Municipal Court in 2000 as Director of Court Services and Chief Probation Officer. Serving in that position until my retirement in January of 2023. During that time, i pursed several educational opportunities related to Court functionality, culminating in being designated an Institute of Court Management Fellow, through the National Center of State Courts. Currently am serving on the City Mission Board, Hancock County ADAMHS Board and the Eagle Township Zoning Appeals Board and working to achieve several retirement goals.

Karen Cline, Secretary
Karen Cline has lived in Findlay since 1980 when she began her career at Marathon Petroleum Company, retiring as their Controller in 2008. During her time at Marathon, Karen held various assignments in accounting, auditing, business development, engineering, marketing, and Speedway SuperAmerica. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University, with a major in accounting, and is a CPA.
In retirement, she has served on the Susan G Komen of Northwest Ohio Board, bringing the first Race for the Cure to Findlay, the Blanchard Valley Health System Board and Finance and Compliance & Audit committees, chaired Marathon Center for the Performing Arts Board, the Finance Committee, and continues to serve on the Development and Finance committees. Karen is the Secretary and trustee member on the St Michael School and Parish Foundations and serves on the Bereavement Ministry at St Michael.
Karen and her husband, Gregg, have 2 grown daughters. They were involved with the folk group music ministry at St Michael’s Parish for over 20 years, enjoy growing their faith through Bible studies, and they both enjoy volunteering in the kitchen at City Mission. It is a privilege to serve on the City Mission board of Trustees.

Nancy Wallace, Treasurer
Nancy graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Oh with a B.S. in Accounting and a concentration in programming. She has recently retired from Marathon Petroleum Company where her work included oil/ gas accounting, budget coordinating, training on project software, and project controls. While raising her children in the Liberty Benton School system, she was the Vice President of PTO along with the chairman of the Eagle Angels volunteer group. She has also served as a CASA volunteer and a Read for Life volunteer. Nancy and her husband, David, have been married 38 years and have four wonderful boys and five beautiful grandchildren. Her interests include yoga, walking, golf, and family vacations.

Johnny Dee
Johnny is the AVP/HR Administration at the Hancock Federal Credit Union. Although new to both the HFCU and the City Mission, Johnny has been a long-standing member of the community. After moving to Findlay from his hometown of Muncie, Indiana, Johnny graduated in 1988 from Findlay College. He later served as the Human Resources Manager at The Findlay Publishing Company for over 30 years. Johnny has been involved in several organizations including the McComb School Board, McComb Athletic Boosters, the Hancock Sports Hall of Fame, and the Miracle League. Johnny and his wife, Carla, live in McComb and are blessed with two children and two grandchildren.

Cathy Lishawa
After graduating from Penn State, Cathy worked at Marathon Petroleum Company for 35 years in various analytical and project control positions. During 2017-2018, Cathy served as a facilitator for the Mission’s Strategic Planning Committee and in 2019, Cathy joined the City Mission Board where she served two terms as Board Secretary. A hands-on board member, Cathy enjoys helping in the kitchen and on special events for the Mission. She also serves as Vice-President for the Blanchard Valley Health System Auxiliary Board and volunteers at the hospital. Cathy is especially proud of her daughter who is completing her residency for Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Tim Burkart
Tim grew up in Toledo, Ohio and graduated with his PharmD degree in 2006. Shortly after he arrived in Findlay to work as a clinical pharmacist at Blanchard Valley Hospital until 2014 when he began his academic career at the University of Findlay, College of Pharmacy and continues there today. He also continues to work in clinical sites in either hospital or ambulatory care settings. Since being at the University, he’s had the opportunity to become involved with service (along with his students) at the City Mission of Findlay. He resides in Findlay currently with his wife Allyson and their three children, Ben, Jonah, and Charlotte. In his free time, he volunteers as a Cub Scout Den Leader, coaches’ various sports, including soccer and basketball, enjoys golf and playing music, and spending time with his family.

Jenn serves on several ADAMHS board committees and is active at Good Shepherd Church in Benton Ridge, currently serving as the chair of the Pastor Parish Relations committee. Jenn and her husband Aaron have three children, Brynn, Carson, and Connor. The Reese family is very active in the CR community through sports and help manage/work at the family’s Christmas tree farm, Kaleidoscope Farms outside of Findlay.

Jerry began his career as a Corporate Pilot at Marathon Oil Company in July of 1971. Prior to that, Jerry was a Flight Instructor, Airport Assistant Manager, and Private Pilot Ground School Instructor in Junior College in Robinson, Illinois. Jerry’s encounters with Marathon pilots at the Crawford County Airport in Robinson led to his employment with Marathon which he maintained until December of 2007 when he retired after 36 ½ years. After retirement, Jerry earned his Master’s Degree in Family Ministry at Winebrenner Seminary and shortly after, began doing pulpit supply at a small country church in Holgate, Ohio. This position led to becoming a pastor at the Zion Church where Jerry served from 2012-2018. He currently works with leadership at Wharton First Church of God in Wharton, Ohio where he is eager to serve in any way that benefits their ministry.
“Moving closer to my Savior, Jesus, was the motivation to study the Scriptures at Winebrenner and following God’s leading into ministry, both in a church and at the City Mission, fulfills His calling on my life.”

Kevin Kachur
Kevin has worked at Marathon Petroleum Company since 2012 where he is currently the Treasury Operations Supervisor, overseeing the company’s cash management and forecast. Shane Pfleiderer
Shane has resided in Findlay since 2010 and works for Marathon Petroleum Company LP as an Assistant General Counsel. Shane has been a practicing attorney since 2003 with a focus on corporate and transactional matters. Shane has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Toledo, a J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law and a M.B.A. from Bowling Green State University. Shane is also a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).

Paul received a Master’s degree in economics from Miami University in 1982. After working for the Ohio Legislative Budget Office for a few years he joined the Marathon Oil Company, in Findlay, in 1987, and has resided there ever since. Paul married and raised a family here. After retiring from Marathon after 38 years of service he spent the next three years volunteering at Findlay’s Habitat for Humanity and was honored with their Golden Hammer award in 2016. Paul is an active member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic parish.
