Our Facility--A Tour
We've created a virtual tour of the
facility located on West Main Cross St. Please Enjoy.
Welcome To The City Mission
The meals at the Mission are prepared by staff members and volunteers, not only for the men, women and families making use of the facilities, but also for members of the community who need a hot meal, companionship, or Christian fellowship. The pantries are stocked via kind donations from the private sector.
The dining room is often filled to capacity, where residents and community members meet to share faith, stories, and a laugh or two.
This view of one of the women's dorm rooms shows facility enough for several residents, which at times do include children. Smaller beds and cribs are shown on the right side of the picture.
This is another room in which you might find a family. There is an identical room to this one, with one difference. It is handicap accessible. The women's quarters are all on the ground floor.
Here's a look at one of the two pantries at the City Mission of Findlay. Donations are always accepted and appreciated.
Our constant wish list includes:
Cereals, baby formula, toothpaste, toilet paper, napkins and paper towels, laundry detergents and fabric softener, household cleaning supplies, sponges, bath soap, shampoo, and bread.
Naturally other grocery items are happily accepted as well, and out thanks go to all the local restaurants who donate their surplus to us.
The City Mission of Findlay exists to serve the physical and spiritual
needs of local and transient homeless by providing shelter, food and
rest in emergency situations.
Our facility is located on 510 W. Main Cross St. in Findlay, Ohio. You can contact us at (419) 423-9151 Here is where people can get surplus clothing if they need it. It's not just for the occasional residents of the Mission, but for the community as a whole.
This is one of the men's dorms. All residents are asked to keep their areas tidy, and they're only allowed to be at the Mission during specific times of the day. It's not a vacation spot - it's a place to heal one's faith, finances, and life.
This is the men's lounge area, for those times of the day when lights-out is near, but a little winding down, reflection, and fellowship is needed. The men's facilities are located on the second floor.
